David's Delicious Weight-Loss Program

The author recounts his obsession with food, recommends a program of diet and exercise, and shares healthful recipes

With the help of free-lance writer Schwartz, Liederman, the originator of David's Cookies, sets forth the plan he devised to lose over 100 pounds and greatly reduce his cholesterol count. Although most of the information on compulsive eating, cholesterol, exercise, and nutrition is readily available elsewhere, this celebrity diet book is written in an engaging style and interspersed throughout with personal anecdotes that really hit home to anyone with an eating problem. Since Liederman is a gourmet cook, the book's largest and most useful section contains his cooking advice and many creative recipes for all kinds of low-calorie, low-cholesterol dishes. Although not an essential purchase, this is a safe and sane weight-loss program that will appeal to many weight-conscious patrons.
