Bizarre genre of the usual El dorado stuff blended with wartime fantasy contribution of noble savages warding off japs and nazis and their collaborationist mestizos and still a subplot with a whiff of gone with the wind: nostalgic silly machismo romances and chock full of well-meaning racial and ethnic slurs. Well suited for the average Trump supporter. Even a cameo by an Irishman with every rotten stereotype. It's a Swashbuckling hater's wet dream. It's like casting Trump as Indiana Jones. American exceptionalism at its worst.
