How is your day different from how it could have been? Bridging that gap is the practical skill of Day Crafting. It is the good life in two steps: balance and flourish today, then repeat tomorrow.

This workbook is about designing our days to optimise our energy – and for meaning; to add to the positive story that forms a good life. It is a mix of accessible theory and practical exercises to complete in the workbook and in your days.

Many of our days repeat a problem in that we’re living on someone else’s time. The vast majority of us are functioning outside of our optimum schedule and energy rhythms. This workbook helps you learn about your own unique timing and energy rhythm and shows you how to shape your days around through schedules or time block planning – or on event time in contrast to clock time.

Once we’re aware of our chronotype and our own optimum timings for types of tasks, we can consider when-to-do not just to-do. Days designed this way see more done with less effort and the quality of what we’re doing improves. And with experience we can mitigate for the times when we’re forced to go against our body-clock. We can even spot opportunities to optimise timings involving others and their chronotypes for better outcomes.

This specialist workbook, next in the Day Crafting Apprentice Series, builds on the foundations explored in the Introductory workbook. Apprentices need to complete the Introductory Workbook before continuing with any of the four specialist workbooks: Body-clock, Productivity, Self-care and Change.
