No place or date. Perhaps Los Angeles: no date, circa 1993. Single sheet, orange paper stock. A flier announcing a day of the dead protest and staged funeral to raise awareness about the AIDS crisis and its impact on the LGBTQ+ community. The event was held at the Capitol building in Sacramento on October 29th. It also called for expanded access to health care and health care funding. ACT UP is an organization that was founded in New York in 1987, with the goal of helping those living with AIDS, through advocacy, medical treatment and research, direct action through protests and events, etc. GOOD+ condition.
