Mental illness is real, and our children are not exempt. Yet mental illness--especially when it affects children--remains a hidden affliction. It is unmentioned at family reunions, misunderstood by society and not talked about in social circles.

A Day in the Life invites you to take a peek into the homes and lives of families who have a child living with a chronic mental health disorder. Written from the perspective of a mom whose son battles mental illness, this book discloses not only the chaos, confusion and exhaustion a child's brain disorder brings to a home, but also gives insight into the profound hope and peace a close relationship with Jesus Christ promises.

Bev Roozeboom lives in Pella, IA, with her husband, Steve. She is the author of Unlocking the Treasure, a Bible study for moms entrusted with special-needs children. Bev is involved in her church's prayer ministry and teaches NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) classes with Steve. She loves spending time with family and friends-especially her three children and five grandchildren.
