Slim hardcover without dust jacket, one of the series "Days With The Great Writers", undated (but c1910), 48 pages, plus five full page full colour reproductions and illustrated endpapers; gently used, but a century and more of wear at corners and edges, slight damage to spine top, severe bump to back cover top edge, but still intact and complete, tight in binding although cracks are starting inside, covers have hints of old staining but gilt lettering and decoration on both covers still bright and clear, cover illustration of a dapper Emerson clean and clear, all pages very clean and unmarked, surprisingly fresh and white, no foxing, illustrations bright and colourful.
