The Days That Follow: Readings on the Life and Death of a Loved One

Do you find yourself thinking, and grieving, about a close relative or friend who recently passed away?

This small book of meditative readings offers gentle companionship and comfort during the days that follow the loss of a loved one, and is small enough to take with you wherever you are - at work, while traveling, or spending time at home.

From the Introduction: "For those of us who return to work or resume our busy schedules, there are moments of solitude when we realize that pining for a loved one is not restricted to a specific time. It is during these days that follow that we have the inner need to get in touch with our feelings and to reflect."

The meditations can be read in any order. In addition to the main collection of meditations, special readings for each of the following are also included: The loss of a mother, father, wife, husband, sister or brother, a child for natural causes, and a child for unnatural causes. The transliterated Mourner's Kaddish for Jewish mourners, in both Ashkenazic and Sephardic versions, appears at the end of the book.

About the Author: Rabbi Shawn B. Zell has spent many years providing comfort to mourners, and has written other books on the subjects of grief and mourning.
