Days of Rain and Blood

THREE COUPLES, ONE HIGHWAY, and a trail of bodies from Las Vegas to the sea.

On a desert road outside Los Angeles, a yellow Rolls-Royce sits with its hood up and a con man behind the wheel who has never once stopped for anybody. Then a red Porsche pulls over, and out step Cottie and Gina, the Tool Girls, calendar models with a toolbox, a derringer, and a score to settle with every man who ever made them. By morning the Rolls has a new owner and the desert has a new grave.

Dalton Paine, a broken bull rider turned Vegas skip tracer, is hired to bring back the car and a $120,000 wedding ring. What he finds instead is a redheaded girl waiting in the dark to kill her own father, a disgraced cop and his devoted sister chasing the Tool Girls for the true crime book of the century, and a woman so beautiful and so gone that falling for her might be the last thing he ever does. In a city where everyone is writing their own ending, somebody has to survive to tell the story.
