A Dead Man's Pulse (Trident Security Omega Team)

Rescued from captivity in Afghanistan just hours before he meets the same fate as his murdered teammates, Marine First Sergeant Logan Reese returns home carrying wounds no one can see. The aftermath of a mission gone horribly wrong ends his military career sooner than expected, leaving him struggling to find a new purpose—until an opportunity with Trident Security offers him a fresh start.

Officer Dakota Swift has spent her career proving she belongs in a profession dominated by men. When a serial killer begins targeting women in Tampa's BDSM community, Dakota volunteers for an undercover assignment that could finally prove she's ready for bigger things. What she doesn't expect is a partnership with a handsome retired Marine who awakens feelings she can't ignore.

As the body count rises, Logan and Dakota are drawn deeper into a dangerous investigation involving secrets, deception, and a killer who is always one step ahead. With Dakota posing as bait and the "Kink Killer" closing in, the line between duty and desire becomes increasingly blurred.

Can Logan overcome the demons of his past and protect the woman he's falling for, or will a ruthless predator claim another victim before the task force can stop him?
