The Dean's Devotional (Paperback)

Education Reference Self-Help The role of a dean is not just strategic----it is spiritual. The Dean's Devotional is written by a dean, for deans. In 21 short readings from Proverbs, it addresses the real work of academic leadership-personnel crises, hidden politics, burnout, and the pressure to perform-while turning you back to God's wisdom rather than just human strategy. Most books talk about data and budgets. This one talks about your soul. See one of the most significant academic turnarounds in school history! When Dr. Daryl D. Green became Dean of the Langston University School of Business in January 2024, one administrator called it "the worst-run organization on campus." In just 18 months, through prayer, tough personnel decisions, and a fierce commitment to students, God led a dramatic turnaround: national rankings climbed, student results improved, and the school rose into the top tier of HBCU business programs, including ranking in the top 1% nationally on the Peregrine Business Exam. Most proceeds from this book will fund student scholarships and faculty innovation grants, investing directly in the next generation of leaders and the educators who shape them.
