Book Club edition. Despite this book having " First Edition, 1988" on it's copy right page - but there is no price is on DJ and covers are cloth and paper bound. The True First has a price on DJ, cloth covers and FE on copyright page. A Grimm's fairy tale discovered in 1983, about a little girl, sent into the woods by her mother in order to be saved from a war. Superbly illustrated by a master of children's literature. Binding tight; interior pages clean, no writing, tears or creases. Quarter cloth on spine clean and unmarred. Matching blue paper boards are clean and lightly faded /sunned at edges. This NOT an Ex-lib. DJ is NOT price clipped; DJ is colorful with shelf wear and soiling to cream colored background along edges, spine and folds. DJ is now protected in mylar Jacket. Note: We use "Fine" book condition judiciously; only when the book exhibits no flaws. A Fine book closely approaches -As New- condition and may not have been previously owned. Any flaws (writing, tears, creases) are exceptions to a Fine condition and will be clearly described for a book and dust jacket.
