Death in Arcadia

Wintering with her preoccupied, artist husband, Tobias, in a freezing house in Mallorca, Sarah Child is so bored she begins following a young couple around the island. But these young Americans are not the innocent tourists they seem to be and before long they have her suspecting that Tobias has been lying to her. Back home in Portland, Maine, Sarah engages her detective friends to do a little snooping, but soon finds there are more suspicious things to investigate than Tobias's secrets. A famous performance artist is living rough with the homeless. Anti-war activists are stealing art from public parks. Then a wealthy developer and art college trustee turns up dead in an outdoor art installation called Arcadia. What was he doing there and how did he die? It's a mystery, but happily, Portland has no lack of sleuths, young and old, to take it on.
