Death of a Bagel and Other Poems

"Death of a Bagel and Other Poems" by Rajeev Bector is a collection of reflective, surreal, and occasionally humorous poems exploring themes of loss, love, absurdity, aging, existentialism, and everyday life.

The poems vary from emotional pieces to playful, bizarre experiments and the tone shifts from melancholy to satirical and philosophical, using vivid imagery and surprising juxtapositions. Several poems also reference famous works and figures, blending literary allusions with modern experiences.

Overall, the collection is an eclectic mix - capturing both the poignancy and absurdity of human existence in vivid, poetic snapshots and blends whimsy and sorrow, sometimes in the same poem. It explores modern existential dread and makes tender and comic observations about small, human moments.

Rajeev Bector is the author of the novel Love Lamentations, the short story collection, "The Afflictions of Men," and the poetry collection, "Death of a Bagel And Other Poems." His work has also been published in A Writer's Resource by Maimon and Peritz.
