Synopsis
This is former Police Chief Mark Beckner's second release of a series of crime thrillers that are fast-paced and hard to put down. You get two crime thrillers in one book. About the Author
Mark Beckner is known in Colorado from his time with the Boulder Police Department from 1978 to 2014. He rose through the ranks to become Boulder's Police Chief in 1998 and remained in that position until his retirement in 2014. Chief Beckner is best known for his leadership in turning around a department in turmoil and taking command of the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation in late 1997. While the case has never been solved, Chief Beckner was able to bring order to the investigation and played a role in getting the case to a grand jury. He now enjoys retirement and has turned his attention toward writing fictional crime dramas. He uses his unique experience and insights to add realism to his crime stories. Feedback and reviews from his first book, Behind The Lies, a book of three separate crime thrillers, have been very positive.Mark still resides in Colorado with his wife Sally, but they become snowbirds in winter, living in Surprise, Arizona. They have two children, Kimberlee and Chad, as well as five grandchildren. When he is not writing crime thrillers, Mark spends time enjoying his family, traveling, bicycling, and playing softball and pickleball. He also finds joy in taking and collecting photographs of scenery and wildlife.
