Till Death or Fly Fishing Do Us Part: When Your Passion Collides With Hers, Can the Relationship Be Far Behind?

From wickedly funny to sweetly poignant, these humorous essays explore how an obsession with fly-fishing affects a person's romantic relationships. The contributors muse upon strange fishing lore, the follies of human nature, and whether to go or stay home when one's partner is crazy for time on the water. Some of the hilarious situations to be found in these pages include that of a young obstetrician husband whose trout-fishing weekends in the Catskills take precedence over delivering babies; a wife who comes close to torching all the fly rods, chicken necks, and fishing books right in the front yard; and a school librarian who wakes up in a soaked sleeping bag when her boyfriend takes her backpacking for brook trout.
