Steel engraving on wove paper, sheet size 116 x 150 mm., engraved by August Spiess after Benjamin West, and printed and published by G.G. Lange in Darmstadt, c. 1770. August Spiess (1841-1923) was a German (steel) engraver. In good condition, dark stains in the top margin left and right (glue bleeding from the verso from previous mounting), some soiling in the left and right margins.
