Item description from seller

London; British Broadcasting Corporation, 1979. 22,5x19 cm. 104 pp. Illustrated. Publisher's boards with printed dustjacket. A small scrape mark on front panel of the jacket. A fine copy. "Film-maker Stephen Weeks needed to find a location which would perfectly evoke the England of the 1930s. His problem was that most of the likley sites hade become over-familiar to audiences. He wanted unfamiliar but convincing country houses in a landscape free from jarring traces of the post-war world, and motor-cars which did not look as they were on hire from a motor museum. He found all these things, magically preserved, in India." (front flap). From the library of Sten Åke Nilsson, Swedish professor of art.
