Women beware the devils in town

Strike one, two, three

You'll all be down...

Poetic clues indicate that a psychotic killer is on the loose and nothing will prevent him from getting what he wants.

The usually tranquil and picturesque city of Champaign, Illinois, is being rocked by an evil force, turning it upside down.

Three closely bonded women-talented, beautiful, and potent with success and charisma-return to their alma mater for their 10th school reunion. One of the trio is suspiciously murdered-remarkably, this is the first homicide in fifty years. Who could be responsible for such a heinous crime in a charming city full of people, many of whom have secrets to hide?

Dark secrets bubble in Champaign...

There's only one man suitable for this role: Lieutenant Craig Ryan, relentless in his pursuit of justice. Alongside him is his former partner, Kirsten Wells, a reporter and darling of Champaign, whose grief drives her quest for the truth.

As the investigation intensifies, a flood of cryptic poetic clues and riddles are scattered around. Devious. Mystifying. Indeed vexing. One by one, the women of Champaign become entangled in a psychotic killer's web.

Nothing will stop him from getting what he wants. His plans must be thwarted before it's too late...
