Organized in an easy-to-use manner, this book has color-edged pages that match the table of contents, and each chapter begins with a quick reference to its contents. Unfortunately, some of the chapters seem incomplete; for example, the section on window treatments gives an illustration of the supplies needed to construct curtains but no instructions or even pictures of various styles. Although chapters cover the installation of carpet and hardwood flooring, these projects require more reliable directions than can be trusted to be found here. Given the publisher's outstanding reputation, this is a surprisingly disappointing book.
