Philip Kolin is an authority on technical and business writing; his "Successful Writing at Work" (Houghton Mifflin) is in its sixth edition. He has received many honors and research grants, and in 1991-93 he was Charles W. Moorman Alumni Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at the University of Southern Mississippi. He was founding coeditor of "Studies in American Drama, 1945-Present," published by Ohio State University Press and recognized by the Conference of Editors of Learned Journals as the best new journal of 1986.
Philip Kolin's poetry has appeared in "Christianity and Literature," "Living Streams," "Xavier Review," "Silver Wings," "Channels," the "Michigan Quarterly Review," the "South Carolina Review," the "Anglican Theological Review," and other journals. "His Roses for Sharron: Poems" was published by Colonial Press in 1993. "Deep Wonder" is his first book entirely devoted to religious poetry.
