THE COMPLETE TRILOGY
A River in the Ocean — Book One
The Deeper Dark — Book Two
The Devil's Nitpicking — Book Three

When Haven's jet goes down during a routine mission in Afghanistan, his family is told he is dead. His wife eventually moves forward with her life. His daughter grows up without her father.

Then, years later, two Marines arrive at their door with impossible news.

Haven is alive.

After escaping years of captivity, Haven returns home to a nation celebrating his survival while he struggles to catch up with a world that is very new to him. But as he tries to rebuild his life, he discovers something far more disturbing than anything he left behind.

His plane wasn't supposed to survive that mission.

Neither was he.

When a planned movie about his story is suddenly canceled without explanation, Haven begins asking questions. An anonymous source claiming extraordinary influence points him toward the dark web, where the story of a fighter pilot and a malfunctioning aircraft begins unraveling into something much larger.

Haven turns to the internet and uses his newfound notoriety to expose what he finds. Friendly hackers begin helping him dig deeper. Others are hired to stop him.

And the deeper Haven goes, the more dangerous the truth becomes.

The fight eventually escapes the digital world. Haven finds himself facing an enemy he once believed was on his side, an invisible network with reach, resources, and secrets beyond anything he imagined.

Then the fight becomes personal.

The Deeper Dark is a story of survival, corruption, family, and a man who refuses to stop digging when everyone around him would be safer if he did.

Continue the complete trilogy with Book Two.

Michael Allen was writing an entirely different book when The Deeper Dark just wouldn't leave him alone. Flashes of the story kept crossing his mind and he was forced one night to take notes from beginning to end. He decided to abandon the other book he was working on and make this one a top priority. He incorporates elements of both A River in the Ocean and When You Miss Me in this book like Easter Eggs for you to enjoy finding.
