This edition of The Deerslayer has no publishing date. The Deerslayer was originally published in 1841; this copy is vintage, but a much later edition. This story is the last in Cooper's Leather-Stocking Tales, a series of five books. It contains 512 pages with no illustrations. The book is in beautiful condition. The pages are clean and free of all marks and tears. There is a stamp on the fly leaf stating Department of Public Instruction, Somis District Library but no signatures. The binding is tight. The black cross-grain cover is stamped in gold on the spine and is like new with only minor wear at the top of the spine. On the bottom of the spine is stamped Cornell Series.
