Defending the Lady Fossil Hunter (Trail of Old Bones)

LARGE PRINT EDITION

In 1867, the wilds of Kansas are dangerous even for a world traveler like Lady Wilhelmina Smith, who is determined to locate her missing husband and the immensely important fossil he discovered. First, she must convince his former guide, Devlin Elder, to lead her to her husband’s last known location in Indian country.

Raised among the Cheyenne, Devlin knows the brutal danger Wilhelmina faces, but the beautiful, strong-willed lady is impossible to resist, even with his guilty conscience shouting, RUN. He’s the only one who can help her find her fossil while preventing her from learning the truth about her husband.

Devlin vows to protect her, though it may cost him his heart and his life.

Pat (Patricia) Stroda was born on the edge of the Old West between Abilene, Kansas and the Santa Fe Trail in the Kansas Flint Hills. As a child, she found a cavalry spur in the pasture of her family's farm and became hooked on tales of the Wild West that happened near where she grew up. Having inherited the story-telling gene that runs in her family, she turned that gift into a second career after she left nursing and became a USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestselling author. She writes under the pen names of Patricia Davids and Hope Navarre.
