About the Author

I was born in Columbus, Ohio to parents of Irish and Scottish descent who grew up in Southern West Virginia. Although not from West Virginia, I got here as quick as I could and grew up in the southern part of the state near Huntington, WV from 1964 to present, where I live with my wife Kimberly, our several pets, and a 1947 Ford tractor. For thirty-nine years I've worked at a variety of jobs including the oilfield and flight simulation software design. I have ten award winning commercial software titles that were add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including the Spirit of St. Louis which was used by the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to commemorate the 75th anniversary and reenactment of Charles Lindbergh's historic transatlantic flight. Battered Nation Syndrome was my first book.
