Delayed Action

Unclipped dustwrapper is in bad shape, being torn in two at the left-hand side of the spine, and with the top two inches and bottom inch missing at the spine, and also creasing and other small tears to the edges. Some wear to bottom end of spine and lower corners of orange boards, boards are a bit bowed (bent, but not creased), and the book smells a bit of being shut away in a cupboard or similar, but that should fade. But otherwise a not too bad, tight copy of this early novel by the author. NOT one of his historical tales, but a story involving Nazi agents in the Scottish Borders during WW2 . Originally published in 1944, this is the fourth reprint from 1948. 223pp. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
