Delighting in Jesus

Even believing Christians don't know enough about their savior, Jesus Christ.

You can't really know someone unless you spend time with them. The same goes for God. Spend time with Jesus Christ in the warp and woof of his life, as each chapter explores one scene in his life as portrayed in Scripture. This book provides stunning insight into the personality, wisdom, and manner of Jesus, and will allow you to take delight in Him in a different way.

The wonder of the gospel accounts is in exploring the unique life of Jesus, the Son of God, and being surprised and changed by what He said and did. The apostle John says about Jesus, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written." While it is impossible to tell all of the ways to delight in Jesus, this book provides a few new ways to probe into the wonder of Jesus and find ourselves delighted with Him. Readers will come away knowing that He is fully human and fully divine. He is for us and wants our lives to follow His plan because His way is so much better. Jesus tells us that the very definition of the eternal life is knowing God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ (John 17:3). He is amazing and worthy of our full attention.

This book is part 2 of the Keys to Effective Spiritual Leadership series, as well as part of the spiritual warfare series, including Why There Has to Be a Hell, The Schemes of Satan, Satan and the Origin of Evil, Breaking Satanic Bondage, Secrets of God's Armor, The Gift of Seeing Angels and Demons (by Susan Merrit), Mission Possible: Winning the Battle Over Temptation, Closing Spiritual Doorways, Delighting in God, Delighting in Jesus.
