This is done under the guise of false promises, suggesting that in exchange for our resources, they will benefit our lives and create a ripple effect of positive change for the broader community. The primary beneficiaries of these efforts are the organizations acquiring resources and their leaders, employees, and investors, while those external to these organizations do not experience improvements, leading society and individuals to suffer negative consequences.
