Synopsis
This book is an endeavor to understand the various aspects relating to the Demonetisation and its impact. A special emphasis has been given to digitisation and cashless mode of the economy during Demonetisation. Articles included in the book unearth the need, hurdles, issues, advantages and costs in making India a cashless society. The after-effects of Demonetisation have brought to light the need and importaqnce of enhancing financial literacy in India. About the Author
1. Dr Pawan Kumar Sharma : is Master of Commerce and Ph.D. from University of Delhi as well as Master of Arts in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has teaching experience of thirty-five years at Delhi University, New Delhi University and has guided more than 40 scholars for their master level projects, m. Phil./Ph.D. etc. He has authored more than 30 research papers and more than half a dozen books. He was on deputation to Royal University of Bhutan's Geaddu College of Business Studies through Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Presently, he is Principal,Dayal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi. 2 Dr. Poonam Gupta : is M. Phil and Ph.D from Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics. She completed her graduation and post-graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce and is the recipient of JN Vaish Medal awarded to the best Post Graduate Student of the College. She has authored eight books. Her thirty research articles have been published in various international/national books and journals. She has completed an innovative project of DU which received two awards. She has also received Teaching Excellence award for Innovation. Currently, she is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce, Dayal Singh Evening College, Delhi University. 3. Mr. Amit Kumar : has done his graduation and post-graduation from Delhi University. he has authored fifteen articles some of which have been presented in National and International Conferences. He has completed an innovation project of DU which won two prizes. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Dayal Singh Evening College, Delhi University.
