About the Author: Escritor, traductor y bibliotecario francés, Charles Nodier (1780-1844) fue conocido tanto por su activismo político en los años posteriores a la Revolución francesa, siendo prisionero durante la época del Terror y luego exiliado y represaliado en posteriores épocas.
