This is a uniquely bound, antique copy of "Departmental Ditties, The Vampire, Etc." by RUDYARD KIPLING. Circa 1899 (there is no date of publication stated); Brentano's; New York. Gilt page edges at the top edge of the text block. The book is a collection of poems - please see the photos for the complete list. This Brentano's "Pomegranate Series" edition was known for its unique Art Nouveau-style covers and gilt lettering on the spine. Smaller in size - the book measures 6 1/4" tall x 4" wide. Condition: Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Nice interior - the pages are clean with no writing, stains or foxing found. Page 37 has a few bits of paper missing at the outer edge from being separated from its facing page. Also, a few pages have small tears at the outer edge from being separated from their facing pages. The last page (149) is still attached to its facing end paper along the outer edge.
