In the Depths of a Man's Mind (Paperback)

The kingdom of Neleuwan is a land of magic and prophecy. It is home to squires Higant and Marcus, brothers not by blood but by bond, and two of the legendary Prophet Vandrune's latest students.

The young King Frederick, wise beyond his years, receives a prophecy from an enigmatic mage ... and soon after, a member of his court is found dead, slain by a mysterious blade.

Thrust into the middle of a centuries-old plot, the squires are torn from their home, forced to walk separate paths. They discover the return of an ancient power that threatens not only the land itself, but the very fabric of time.

Together, the boys could be the keys to its salvation ... or its destruction.

David McCann lives in Brisbane, Queensland, with his wife and son. 20 years of nursing experience and a number of creative pursuits have lead him to write his debut novel. "I have been inspired by the stories of Terry Goodkind and Raymond Feist with their large-scale worlds and stories that are relatable yet epic in their fantasy." Both these writers inspired his writing and the debut novel "In the Depths of a Man's Mind" is a wonderful homage to this way of writing. He has also created a new way of thinking about magic. His unique take on human biology and the use of vibration has given rise to a new way of magic being used. David has created characters that as a reader you are drawn too, with high and lows, challenges and sacrifice and the emotions that come with these moments. With the introduction of his debut novel David has begun a timeless story that will take you on a journey and begin your love of the land of Neleuwen. Are you a truant or a mage? Never forget "Time has not master but time itself"
