Des. Erasmi Roterodami Colloquial, Cum Notis Selectis Variorum. By Desiderius Erasmus and printed in Leiden and Rotterdam by Ex Officina Hackiana. 1664, 784 pp plus index, 7.75 x 5 , 8vo, hardcover full vellum. Small holes to early pages and light wear to some edges and corners. Includes index at end of text block. Light markings and marginalia. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A nicely preserved example of the Colloquies of Desiderius Erasmus (1456-1536). Includes a note affixed to the back pastedown with a mention of a Mr. De Burigny, possibly French historian Jean Levesque de Burginy (1692-1785), although the handwritten and paper quality imply a time period closer to the book s printing.
