YOU'VE FOUND YOUR WAY IN. . .NOW DIE GETTING OUT!
Lunar Outpost MN 0012 is in the grips of techno-cataclysm.
The most complex off-world mining operation in the solar system is in danger of total annihilation, Programmed flying drones have gone berserk, turning on their masters and spreading a hideous plague of devastation and death. An unseen alien force has corrupted the powerful machines as a terrifying first act of war. The moon will fall fist. And after that, the Earth.
The Post Terran Mining Corporation needs one man to lead a suicide mission into the labyrinthine depths of MN 0012, to take the battle to the white-hot core of the rebellion. That man is Benjamin St. John--a veteran Maine flyer with nothing left to lose, teamed with a beautiful company flak and his most hated enemy. A stranded computer scientist trapped in the bowels of the moon holds the key to human survival. Her rescue is essential, and St. John is the only man good enough--and crazy enough--for the job.
Peter Telep earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Central Florida, where he now teaches English. Mr. Telep is a recipient of the prestigious John Steinbeck Award for fiction and has written a number of science fiction and fantasy novels, including
Descent (based on the popular computer game), the Squire Trilogy, and the
Space: Above and Beyond books.
Peter Telep has not worked as a Marine Corps fighter pilot, a mining engineer, a nuclear physicist, or a software designer--though he'd like you to believe he has. He was born and schooled in New York, spent a number of years in Los Angeles, then returned east to Florida. He is an expert produce clerk, having spent many years in various supermarkets to support his writing habit. If you're lucky, you may still catch him selecting ripe watermelon for nice old ladies
While out west, he wrote for such television shows as In The Heat of The Night and The Legend of Prince Valiant. He is the recipient of many writing awards, including the John Steinbeck Award for fiction. Mr. Telep's other novels are Squire, Squire's Blood, Squire's Honor, Space: Above and Beyond, and Demolition Winter. He now teaches English at the University of Central Florida, and you may e-mail him at PTelep@aol.com. He is always delighted (or is it begging?) to hear from his fans.
