[ROGERS, Isaiah.]. A Description of Tremont House, with Architectural Illustrations. Boston: Gray and Bowen, 1830. 36pp. Frontis., 31 plates, some colored. Later three-quarter red leather and marbled boards with gilt spine titling. Frontis. torn and repaired at gutter, else fine. Tremont House was a hotel in Boston designed by Isaiah Rogers (1800-1869) and built in 1829. It was the first hotel with indoor plumbing and running water. With the bookplate of William S. Reese on front pastedown.
