General Motors car designer J. Bruce Bollinger's massive self-taught course in car design. 8 volumes complete. Densely illustrated with photos and sketches of step by step instruction from start to finish, including clay modeling, coloring, shading and finished renderings. See attached images for table of contents. Bollinger was the creator of the ca. 1950's Chevrolet Nomad, now a mid-century cult classic, and worked on many additional projects, including the Corvair, Corvette and the first muscle cars of the 1960's. Also includes numerous concept cars and two introductory letters hand signed by Bollinger. Rare. Issued in a strictly limited edition. Presently no other copies in commerce or the WorldCat library database. Hundreds of pages of professional instruction, paginated in sections. All volumes clean, tight and unmarked with no evidence of use. Arrives in original shipping box from The Academy of Automobile Design in Woodland Hills California.
