Scarce in all editions, adorned with numerous black and white illustrations in text illustrative of the various techniques and methods discussed in the volume.Rarely seen complete with its vanishingly scarce, unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, bumped to head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper unclipped and sound with some shelf wear, age toning to spine, sunning to wraps, lightly chipped to head and tail. Previous ownership inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1945.
