About the Author
Emily Peacock – Her stylish tapestry and cross stitch kits have been featured in The Daily Mail, Living Etc, and Time Out NY. She also co-authored the book, Adventures in Needlework.
Felicity Hall – After studying textiles and fine art at university, Felicity built a business creating affordable cross stitch and needlework kits. Her kits and charts blur the boundaries of craft, fashion and interior design, always with a vibrant contemporary edge.
Mr X Stitch (Jamie Chalmers) – Since launching his blog, Jamie has become a hero to contemporary cross stitch everywhere. Since 2003, when he discovered cross stitch, he has set up his own website launching his irreverent stitching style to the world and using his site to champion new contemporary designers.
Lesley Teare – Lesley’s background is in freelance design for the retail trade and card companies, as well as teaching art. She’s been creating needlecraft designs and kits for 20 years, has written four cross stitch books and contributed to ten more.
Maria Diaz – She studied fine art and was the first in-house designer for DMC. She’s now a freelance cross stitch designer and consultant who works with publishers around the world and contributes to many cross stitch magazines and books.
Lucie Heaton – She has been creating cross stitch designs for 18 years. She designs charts for magazines, books and needlework companies. She has contributed to books such as Cross Stitch Alphabets and Cross Stitch Fairies.
