Ms. Crochet is a frequent speaker at national and international interior design industry conferences giving presentations at NeoCon World's Trade Fair in Chicago, ASID National Conferences, and Restoration & Renovation. She is an active Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Since 1984, Ms. Crochet has taught interior design courses at colleges and universities in Massachusetts, Florida, and Texas. Currently, she is an assistant professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston in the department of Design and Facilities. Professor Crochet's leadership of a student volunteer group contributing to the research and documentation of endangered historical buildings for the City of Dallas earned an inclusion in the 1989 edition of Who's Who in Interior Design. Although Professor Crochet teaches a wide range of classes within the interior design discipline, her expertise is in historic preservation, architectural history, and the history of furniture.
