Desolation

The storm hit first. Then the strangers arrived. Then something else did.

A highway rest stop. A whiteout blizzard. No signal. No way out. When a group of travellers finds themselves stranded together at a remote rest stop in the worst winter storm any of them has ever seen, they tell themselves it's temporary. Wait it out. Stay calm. Help is coming. Then people start disappearing. There may be a killer among them — someone who saw the storm as an opportunity. But as the night deepens and the body count rises, the other begin to realize that the human threat is the least of their problems. Something else is out there in the dark. Something that doesn't mind the cold.

DESOLATION is a claustrophobic, pulse-pounding horror thriller in the tradition of Dean Koontz and Whitley Strieber — where survival instinct collides with supernatural dread and neither one is enough. "A genuinely scary and intelligent read."
