As creator's of the world's finest luxury hand paint yarns, and as an innovative contemporary design house, Alchemy Yarns of Transformation is committed to providing unsurpassed quality to the avid fiber arts enthusiast. Our goal is to synthesize the elements needed to offer the most extraordinary and satisfying knitting experience available. Combining time-honored Fine Art techniques, the highest quality custom-blended nobel fibers, and a reverence for Nature's palette, we create yarns that transcend the typical. We do not use any chemicals in dying our fiber. Only natural mordants are used in applying color to the yarns, and all dyes are environmentally friendly and 100% non-toxic. Simply put, our fibers are designed to please the senses, soothe the soul, and honor the earth. As a design house, we create templates for beautiful and unique knitwear, with an emphasis on the architectural adage of form follows function. Our designs mindfully embrace a balance of process (an enjoyable and satisfying knit, with an emphasis on relaxing into the beautiful unfolding of extraordinary color and texture) and product (fashion-forward silhouettes that create very wearable works of art). Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Sonoma County, our Northern California studios and farm blend with the surrounding orchards and vineyards.
