For several decades, baby boomer Randy Durich has been sharing, with anyone who listen, vignettes and stories of his years growing up in the Italian neighborhood of Allentown, Pennsylvania, during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. When he realized friends and family were frequently saying tell the one about and you should write a book, he decided it was time to put pen to paper. His memories of long ago rose to the surface and beckoned to be released. Randy Durich is retired from a 36-year teaching and coaching career. Residing today in Lewes, Delaware, he never tires of home projects, beach walks, seafood, and recounting the music and laughter of his younger days growing up in the Italian section of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
