Destiny of the Daystar: Shattered Circles (Absolution of the Morning Star)

The Northlands are a breath away from collapse. Promises splinter. Shadows creep closer. And war is no longer coming—it is here.

Erikson Gray, exiled prince and heir to two fractured legacies, holds the key to unity—or to ruin. As the son of House Thorne and House Zulikaarme, only he can bridge the divide between the warring North and claim Direhill, the stronghold of old kings. With the North united, he could march upon Highwater, seize the Crystal Throne, and face the rising Nephilim with the full strength of Lucardia at his back.

But nothing is won without sacrifice. The sword at his hip whispers of glory, but Erik no longer trusts it. His allies waver, the cost of his choices grows steeper, and one misstep could doom them all.

In Highwater, Emperor Ivar clings to an empire cracking beneath its own weight. The South rebels, the North seethes, and the circle of knives around him tightens. His enemies do not wear banners—they sit at his table.

Far to the west, Jezelle flies atop a great lindwyrm, tasked with retrieving a treasure lost to the waves. But as the wreck of the Lion gives up its secrets, she must ask herself—is her loyalty to Erik worth the price of her soul?

And in the shadows, Princess Margret, cursed from birth, seeks salvation in the arms of something far darker.

As swords clash and empires tremble, Erik’s name will either be written in legend or buried in dust. In this world, destiny spares no one.
