Synopsis
About the book. In a world where dragons, beasts of the air, shadows and creatures of the night, have waged a terrible war upon each other, destiny has selected a fated few to decide the outcome of the war, and not only that, but ultimately reshape time and space itself. Ray a fourteen year old boy living in the town of Selaren is starting to realize he was destined for extraordinary things. Since the door of destiny has been opened wide for Ray and those around him, he discovers that he was blessed with a star type dragon spirit and is involved in a cosmic war between dragons and shadows. With his best friends, Nalla, the enthusiastic clown and Arsa, the cool and collected tom boy, Ray begins a journey that will take him across fantastic people, powers, hidden truths and fabled lands. The path before them is filled with challenges, choices and people who will play key roles in their destinies. As the fate of Bellsmara begins to unravel, Ray experiences possibilities he never could have imagined. Those incredible dormant powers will be called upon. The things that he learn helps him discover his clouded past and his role in this war. Unbelievable choices will be made, bloody battles will be raged, fated allies will be met and the first event in the Advent Cycle unfolds . . .
About the Author
Author Bio Currently, I am a high school freshman from the great state of North Carolina. At an early age, I developed a love of reading from my mother who read countless books to me before I began kindergarten. I guess that eventually contributed to my interest in writing. Over the summer of 2008, I decided to sit down at the computer and begin typing. Over a period of time "Destiny Star" was a result of my actions. I finished the book at the end of my eighth grade year while in middle school. Writing this book was rather easy since I have a vivid and crazy imagination that has often taken me on an occasional mind trip. Along with a love for reading and writing, playing soccer is also close to my heart. Baseball is another sport that I have played since T-ball; however I have decided to try tennis as a high school freshman. I'm really just a regular teen with a great family and friends who decided to write a book, because it was a dream of mine. Great family and friends have encouraged me and the first step has been taken in accomplishing my dream, I am really looking forward to what lies ahead! Until Next Time Dwayne A. Morgan
