About the Author
Dr. Michael K. Badawy is Professor of Management of Technology and Strategic Management at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Falls Church, Virginia. Holder of a Ph.D. with honors in Business Administration from New York University where he studied under Peter Drucker, Dr. Badawy is internationally known for his research, writing, and consulting experience in engineering and R&D management. In addition, he leads management training and executive development seminars. A consultant on several editorial boards and author or editor of 25 books and over 180 professional articles, Dr. Badawy is the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management. His work has been featured in the Best of Business magazine, Forbes, Engineering Times, and most recently in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Inside R&D, and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) publication.
