Development of the Central Nervous System in Vertebrates (NATO Asi Series: Series A: Life Sciences)

In summaries of 19 of the workshop's invited presentations, researchers outline the views current in a range of disciplines on the molecular, cellular, and system aspects of the development of the central nervous system in vertebrates. Reflecting the research focus on the origin of neuron and glia cells, the lectures emphasize the effects of growth factors, HOX and other gene expressions, and the cell lineage of specific cell types. Reproduced from the authors' copies; the illustrations vary widely in quality. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.
