Ollie is a struggling but once-prominent studio photographer with no idea how deeply he is tied to the only city he has ever known.

One night, betraying his art for a quick payday, he meets an enigmatic woman named Serine who seems to appear and vanish at will. She reveals hidden layers of the city beyond comprehension and opens his eyes to all that might be.

Drawn into this unseen world, Ollie learns that just to the periphery of the city’s concrete and steel lies other city, a place maintained by fragile balances and quiet observers. When he discovers a malevolent force known as the Altar, intent on sowing chaos and driving other city toward familiar depths of inequality, Ollie is forced to confront the cost of intervention.

What begins as an escape from artistic failure becomes a reckoning with responsibility, belonging, and the uneasy truth that some systems collapse by design. Ollie must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for a world that finally feels worth seeing clearly.
