The Devil's Inheritance (Paperback)

Some inheritances come with land, money, or a family name.

Others come with a debt.

On his seventieth birthday, a man finds himself drawn back toward the shadows of his family's past-a past marked by whispered warnings, an abandoned shack, and a secret that has waited generations to be claimed.

At the heart of that secret lies an old agreement, written on parchment and bound by something far more dangerous than law. Long ago, a desperate bargain was made. The price bought time, prosperity, and protection for one generation, but the debt was never truly paid.

It was inherited.

As September closes in and the truth begins to surface, the boundary between family history and supernatural terror disappears. What once seemed like old stories and childhood fears becomes frighteningly real, and a father is forced to confront an impossible choice.

Because the contract is still waiting.

And the Devil has not forgotten what he is owed.

The Devil's Inheritance is a dark tale of family secrets, inherited guilt, and a bargain that refuses to die-a supernatural horror story about what happens when one generation's salvation becomes the next generation's curse.

Roger left the southern mountains of West Virginia and joined the Air Force during the Viet Nam era. He traveled extensively, but his heart remained in the south. His writings reflect the southern attitude from those years ago.

After receiving an MBA in International Business, Roger worked for many years in the corporate world. He is an adjunct business instructor for a local university and a fulltime author and artist. His stories usually have backgrounds and characters that exist in a simpler time. No cell phones or other electronics distract his characters from experiencing the full adventure of just living.
