Three of the most intriguing characters in this 23 scene play - not including John Schreiber the blacksmith - are : Preacher, Bone-setter, and Peter the Goose Boss. The back cover synopsis tells us that the play - set (recently) in western Canada - deals with the struggles of a young boy (Jacob) to conform with his Hutterite traditions while being tempted by the outside world. Opens with a short biography of the playwright. Text assisted by b/w photos from the stage production. Tight in binding. Has ex-library marks, wear, and soil. Hard-to-find in this rendering. QUote (p. C2) : " In the intervening years, W.O. Mitchell has produced an impressive body of work for radio, television and films, and has had the distinction of ._._._. . " Size: 4to.
