Le Devoir Des Neutres

This collection of essays, entitled "Le devoir des neutres", reflects on the obligations and responsibilities of neutral nations during times of global conflict. Written in the context of World War I, the authors, including Ruy Barbosa, Graça Aranha, and Cardozo de Bethencourt, explore the legal and moral dimensions of neutrality, examining its impact on international relations and the sovereignty of states. The essays delve into the challenges faced by countries seeking to maintain a non-belligerent stance, offering a nuanced perspective on the complexities of wartime diplomacy and the enduring principles of international law. This work provides valuable insights into the political and ethical considerations that shaped the world's response to one of history's most significant conflicts.
