8vo. Second edition. First published in 1935 (written by John Betjeman). Original red cloth, lettered in green. Two coloured maps and numerous black and white illustrations throughout. Advertisement for Shell by Edward Bawden at rear. Ink ownership on half-title. Unclipped d/w has an ink signature on the front turn-in, is slightly faded on the spine and has a 1cm chip from the top edge of the back panel. Near fine in very good dust-wrapper. In the second state photographic jacket.
